Board and train dog training in Calgary.
Board and train means the dog moves in with us and the training runs through the whole day, not just a session. Daily one-on-one sessions sit inside a set routine, with socialization, enrichment and rest around them, and updates go home along the way. At the end we hand the work over in a lesson, and free follow-up sessions carry on from there.

Life during the stay
What a day looks like when the dog lives in.
Every board and train day is built around one-on-one training sessions, and the rest of the day supports them: a set routine, structured socialization, enrichment that works the brain as well as the legs, and proper rest. Dogs sleep in clean, comfortable accommodations with fresh water, get daily exercise and individual care, and live the same structured routine they are learning, so the lessons are not something that happens for an hour and then stops.
Owners are not left guessing. Updates go out on social media and through personal phone or email check-ins, so progress can be followed without interrupting it. Visits are gently discouraged for the same reason: they interrupt the routine the dog is settling into. At the end of the stay we teach the owner what the dog has learned in a handover lesson, and every program includes free follow-up sessions once the dog is home.

Five programs
The right length depends on the goal, not the calendar.
The shortest stay is On-Leash Foundations, two weeks at $1,865 plus GST for loose-leash walking, heel, sit, stay, down, place and everyday distractions, with lifetime phone and email support. Puppy Fundamentals is three weeks at $2,775 plus GST: crate comfort, leash manners, name recognition and structured socialization. Functional Off-Leash is three weeks at $3,030 plus GST for reliable recall around distractions, Educator remote collar included. Advanced Off-Leash is four weeks at $3,940 plus GST for off-leash heel, distance commands and public manners, with two follow-ups.
Behaviour Rehab is the longest stay: five to six weeks at $4,850 to $5,760 plus GST for anxiety, reactivity and aggression, customized after a full assessment, with two follow-ups and in-depth owner education. Dogs with bite histories are accepted after that assessment. Private Training, a one-hour session with a written weekly plan, is for owners who would rather do the work themselves between sessions, and the consultation is where we recommend a program, including a smaller one when it is enough.

How much does board and train cost in Calgary?
Our five stays run from $1,865 for two weeks of On-Leash Foundations to $4,850 to $5,760 for Behaviour Rehab, the five to six week stay, all plus GST. Puppy Fundamentals is $2,775, Functional Off-Leash $3,030 and Advanced Off-Leash $3,940. Where a program uses a slip lead or remote collar, it is included.
How long is a board and train program?
Two to six weeks depending on the program: 2 weeks for On-Leash Foundations, 3 weeks for Puppy Fundamentals or Functional Off-Leash, 4 weeks for Advanced Off-Leash, and 5 to 6 weeks for Behaviour Rehab. Which one we recommend is settled at the consultation, and a shorter stay is recommended whenever it is enough.
Can I visit my dog during board and train?
We gently discourage visits because they interrupt the routine the dog is settling into. Instead, owners follow the stay through social-media updates and personal phone or email check-ins.
Where does my dog sleep during the program?
In clean, comfortable accommodations with fresh water, daily exercise, enrichment and individual care. The dog lives the same structured routine, day and night, that the training is built on.
Do you take dogs with a bite history?
Yes, into Behaviour Rehab, after a full assessment. The program is then customized to that dog, and it comes with two follow-ups and in-depth owner education.
Which dogs are not a fit for board and train?
We do not train service dogs. Beyond that, other formats exist: Private Training, a one-hour session, is the format for owners who prefer to do the handling themselves, and Day Training, $800 plus GST per week, suits dogs who need consistent work while the owner wants them home each night. The recommendation happens at the consultation, and when a smaller program is enough, that is the one we suggest.
