How it works
Your dog lives the routine they're learning.
Board & train works because it removes the start-stop of weekly lessons. Your dog moves in, and the training becomes their whole day: one-on-one sessions, structured routine, socialization, enrichment, and rest, repeated daily until the new habits are just how life works.
You get updates along the way through social media and personal check-ins, so you always know how it's going. And when the program ends, the most important lesson is yours: a full handover session where you learn everything your dog learned, plus free follow-ups to lock it in at home.

How much does board and train cost in Calgary?
Northline K9's board & train programs run $1,865 (2-week on-leash) to $4,850–$5,760 (5–6 week behaviour rehab), + GST. Puppy Fundamentals is $2,775, Functional Off-Leash $3,030, and Advanced Off-Leash $3,940. Remote collars and take-home training gear are included where the program uses them.
How long does board and train take?
Two to six weeks depending on the program: 2 weeks for on-leash foundations, 3 weeks for puppy or functional off-leash, 4 weeks for advanced off-leash, and 5–6 weeks for behaviour rehab.
Can I visit my dog during the program?
We gently discourage visits, they interrupt the routine and can set progress back. Instead you get social-media updates and personal phone or email check-ins throughout, so you never wonder how it's going.
Where does my dog sleep during board and train?
In clean, comfortable accommodations with fresh water, daily exercise, enrichment, and individual care, living the same structured routine they're learning all day.
Will the training actually stick at home?
That is what the handover lesson and free follow-up sessions are for: you learn the commands, the tools, and the why, and we come back to help in the real places your dog struggles. Long-term success then depends on keeping the same structure at home, and we teach you exactly how.
