How much is board and train for a dog in Calgary?
At Northline K9, board and train costs $1,865 + GST for two weeks of on-leash foundations, $2,775 for the three-week puppy program, $3,030 for three weeks of off-leash work, $3,940 for the four-week advanced program, and $4,850 to $5,760 for five to six weeks of behaviour rehab. Every price includes daily training, the equipment the program uses, an owner handover lesson, and free follow-up sessions.
The math per day
Break the price into days and it changes shape.
Two weeks at $1,865 works out to about $133 a day. That day includes multiple training sessions, structured socialization, enrichment, exercise, meals, and overnight care, delivered personally by the trainer your dog lives with. Compare that with stacking a dog walker, daycare, and weekly lessons separately and the bundle usually wins on both price and results.
The range between programs is honest, too. Longer programs cost more because reliability takes repetitions: an off-leash recall that survives a jackrabbit needs more days of proofing than loose-leash walking does, and a five-week behaviour rehab is priced only after an assessment tells us what your dog actually needs.

Some programs around Calgary quote a base rate and then bill for the collar, the go-home lesson, or refresher visits. Ours land in the price: the on-leash programs send you home with a slip lead and training collar, the off-leash programs include the Micro or Mini Educator remote collar, and every graduate gets the handover lesson plus free follow-ups. The only optional extra is $65-a-night graduate boarding when you travel.

Our two-week Complete On-Leash Foundation program is $1,865 + GST, covering loose-leash walking, heel, sit, down, place, and calm behaviour around everyday distractions, with lifetime phone and email support.
Why does behaviour rehab cost more than obedience?
Because fear and aggression change on a dog's timeline, not a calendar. Rehab runs five to six weeks of individualized daily work, starts with a full assessment, and the final price ($4,850 to $5,760) reflects what your specific dog needs.
Are payment plans available?
