Here is exactly what the money buys, and exactly where it stops.

On-Leash Foundations installs the things that make a dog easy to live with on a leash. Loose-leash walking so the leash hangs slack. A heel for the moments you need the dog glued to your side. Sit, down and stay that hold while you talk to a neighbour. Place, a spot the dog goes to and stays on when the door opens. Everything is taught with markers and rewards first, then proofed against everyday distractions: other dogs passing, people, traffic, the chaos of a walk.
The price is $1,865 plus GST for fourteen days, which is roughly $133 a day. For that your dog gets daily one-on-one training, a structured routine, socialization, enrichment and updates to you while they are away. It also includes the things people forget to price: a slip lead and training collar, a handover lesson where you learn the handling, a follow-up session, and lifetime phone and email support once you are home. Per day, that is less than a single private session.

Honest limits
Where two weeks stops, and who needs longer.
Two weeks does not make a dog reliable off leash. It builds the leash skills and the positions, but a recall that holds when a rabbit bolts across an open field is a different project with a different tool. That is three weeks minimum, with the e-collar introduced properly and taught to you. Two weeks also does not fix reactivity, anxiety or aggression. Those need an assessment first, then a program long enough to change the emotion under the behaviour, not just the behaviour.
So who should book two weeks? A dog over the puppy stage whose main sins are pulling, ignoring cues outside and lack of manners, with an owner who will practise at home. Who should not? A puppy still working on the crate and the name, whose needs are covered by the three-week puppy program. Any dog you want off leash. Any dog with a bite history or real fear. We will say which you have, and we recommend the cheaper program when it fits.

How much is a 2 week board and train in Calgary?

Is a 2 week board and train worth it?
For leash manners and household obedience, yes, provided you do the handover lesson and keep practising. For off-leash reliability or serious behaviour problems, no, because two weeks is not long enough, and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong program.
What does a 2 week dog training program actually teach?
Loose-leash walking, heel, sit, down, stay and place, then tested around the everyday distractions your dog meets on a walk. The last piece is the handover lesson, where you learn to run those skills yourself.
Does the two week board and train cost include follow-ups, or is that extra?
It is included. Every board and train comes with free follow-up sessions after the handover lesson, and the two-week program also carries lifetime phone and email support. The only other cost is GST.
