Reactive behaviour is almost always a dog answering a question nobody asked: am I safe? The barking and lunging are strategies, loud ones, for making scary things go away. Punishing the noise without answering the question just teaches a dog to skip the warning.
Kaitlin's background is reading dogs: thirteen years, starting in a daycare where you learn to catch the earliest whisper of stress across thirty dogs at once. Behaviour Rehab starts there, a full assessment of what your dog is actually saying, and then rebuilds their confidence one honest step at a time.

Can a reactive dog really change?
Yes. Reactive, anxious, fearful, and aggressive dogs are the heart of the Behaviour Rehab program, and we see them change weekly. The realistic promise is not a personality transplant; it is a dog who feels safe, an owner who can read them, and walks that stop being a battle.

How much does reactive dog training cost?
Behaviour Rehab runs $4,850–$5,760 + GST for five to six weeks of daily, individualized work. The exact program and price are customized after the assessment. A one-hour private session is $150 if you want an expert read first.
Why board & train instead of weekly classes for reactivity?
Because reactive dogs rehearse their fear between weekly lessons. Living in a calm, structured routine removes the rehearsals, and daily work rebuilds confidence far faster than an hour a week can.
