Puppy training cost in Calgary
A puppy's training with us comes in two formats, and they buy very different amounts of hands-on work. We run no group classes. So this page covers a private hour and a three-week live-in program: what each costs, what the live-in price bundles, and which puppies each format is built for.

The live-in price bundles the weeks you would otherwise have to find.
A private session is one hour of coaching with you and your puppy, and it ends with a written plan for the week. It suits a household that wants to do the daily work itself with expert direction: house rules, crate routines, mouthing, the first loose-leash walks. Four sessions come to $600 plus GST by simple multiplication on that rate.
Puppy Fundamentals is $2,775 plus GST for three weeks of daily training and a structured routine with us. The price covers crate comfort including nights, leash manners, name recognition, sit, down and place, plus structured socialization and calm exposure to new sights and sounds. Your puppy comes home with a slip lead and training collar, you get an owner handover lesson, and one follow-up session within 60 days is included. It is built for puppies in their key learning window.

What three weeks with us looks like for a puppy.
During Puppy Fundamentals your puppy lives the structured routine it is learning: daily one-on-one training, structured socialization, enrichment, and clean, comfortable accommodations with fresh water, daily exercise and individual care. Visits during the stay are gently discouraged because they interrupt that routine, so you follow along through social media updates and personal phone or email check-ins instead. The welcome package includes a crate-training guide, and crate comfort, nights included, is part of what the three weeks work on.
Which format fits is a consultation question. Puppy Fundamentals is built for puppies in their key learning window, and Private Training is built for owners who would rather hold the leash themselves and be coached. Describe your puppy and what you are seeing at home, and we recommend one, and if a single session is all your puppy needs, that is what we recommend. Both prices are plus GST, and the gear, handover lesson and follow-up session listed with Puppy Fundamentals sit inside its price.

How much does puppy training cost in Calgary?
At Northline K9, a private puppy session is one hour with a written weekly plan, and Puppy Fundamentals, a three-week board and train, is $2,775 plus GST. We do not publish group class prices because we do not run group classes.
What is included in the $2,775 Puppy Fundamentals price?

Are puppy classes cheaper than private training?
A group class and a private hour are different products, and we cannot speak for what any particular class charges or includes. Everything we run is one-on-one, so a puppy gets coaching tailored to it rather than a shared curriculum. If a class is going well for your puppy, keep going.
Can I do a few private sessions instead of the full puppy program?
Yes, and the consultation is where we recommend which fits. Private sessions come with a written weekly plan, while Puppy Fundamentals bundles three weeks of daily training, take-home gear, a handover lesson and a follow-up session for $2,775 plus GST. If sessions are enough, sessions are what we recommend.
