Our puppy training runs one-on-one, never in a class, so the early weeks rehearse the habits you actually want, and the handover lesson is built so those habits have a chance to survive the drive home.

Puppy Fundamentals
What three live-in weeks work on.
Puppy Fundamentals is a 3-week board and train at $2,775 + GST. Your puppy lives in and works one-on-one every day on crate comfort, nights included, so the crate is somewhere to rest rather than a punishment. Leash manners are worked on early, before pulling has had much practice. Name recognition, sit and down with stay, and place give you a way to ask for calm. Socialization is structured: new sights and sounds introduced calmly, at a pace this particular puppy can handle.
The program ends with an owner handover lesson that teaches you the markers, the leash handling and the routine your puppy now expects. A slip lead and training collar come home with you, and a follow-up session within 60 days is there for the questions that only appear once real life resumes. Between drop-off and pick-up you get updates, and your puppy sleeps in clean, comfortable quarters with fresh water, exercise every day and enrichment, living the routine it is learning.

Timing and alternatives
When to start, and the smaller options.
Timing is a question for your vet, not for us. What we can say is who Puppy Fundamentals is built for: puppies in their key learning window, and if your pup is already practising habits you would rather it did not have, sooner is genuinely better. Puppies not ready for three weeks away have two smaller routes: Day Training by the week at $800 plus GST, weekdays with a one-hour go-home session each week, or Private Training.
Your part starts before drop-off. The welcome package includes a crate-training guide, so the crate is not a stranger on day one. After the handover lesson, what you take home is the routine your puppy has been living: the same markers, the same crate, the same short leash walks with the same expectations. Keeping that routine going is your job, and it is the part no program can do for you. We do not run puppy classes; socialization here is structured and one-on-one.

What age should a puppy start training in Calgary?
We suggest asking your vet about the start date, because that call is theirs, not ours. What we can say is that a pup already practising jumping, pulling or mouthing is a reason to talk to us sooner rather than later. The consultation is where we look at where your puppy is now and recommend a program, including a smaller one when that is enough.
How much does puppy training cost in Calgary?
Puppy Fundamentals, our 3-week live-in program, is $2,775 + GST and includes the handover lesson, a follow-up session within 60 days, and a slip lead and training collar to keep. Day Training is $800 a week plus GST, and Private Training is a one-hour session.
Does my puppy need to be crate trained before board and train?
No. Our welcome package includes a crate-training guide so your puppy arrives with some familiarity, and crate comfort, nights included, is one of the skills the program works on every day.
Do you run puppy classes?
No group classes of any kind. Everything we do is one-on-one, and socialization is structured, calm exposure to new sights and sounds at your puppy's pace. A group class is a different format, and for some puppies it may be the right one; the consultation is where we say which.
Will three weeks away hurt my bond with my puppy?
We cannot predict how any individual puppy will feel about three weeks away, and we will not pretend to. What we can describe is what the program includes: updates while your puppy is with us, a handover lesson where you learn the markers and the routine, and a follow-up session within 60 days. What happens with the bond after that happens at home, with you.
Does my puppy need all its vaccinations before training?
That is a question for your vet, and we defer to their guidance on when your puppy can start. Nothing stops you from booking a consultation before then; we would rather know your puppy early than late.
