Off-leash freedom takes planning here. The large off-leash parks are a drive, and the City lists one Evanston off-leash area on Evanspark Boulevard NW, so most days the dog is clipped in. That is why recall still matters: a puppy that slips a collar by the pond, or bolts out a front door toward Symons Valley Road, needs to turn around on one word.
