Board and train
Graduate boarding for Northline K9 dogs
Graduate boarding is the boarding we offer to dogs who have been through a Northline K9 program, and to dogs of existing clients. It is not open to the general public and it is not a training program in disguise. This page covers who can book it, what a night costs and includes, what refresher work means, and the short note worth sending along with your dog.

The service
Who can book it and what a night includes.
Graduate boarding is open to dogs who have completed a Northline K9 program and to dogs belonging to existing clients, at $65 + GST per night. We do not offer it to the general public; we keep it to dogs and owners we already know. Refresher work during the stay is optional. It is not a separate program and it is not a requirement, and a graduate is welcome to simply board with us.
A night covers clean, comfortable accommodation with fresh water, daily exercise, enrichment and individual care, living the same structured routine a board and train dog learns. The arithmetic is simple: a seven-night stay is $455 + GST, and a fortnight is $910 + GST. If you would like refresher work during the stay, tell us when you book and we will talk through what it would involve. Without it, the stay is care and routine, and we are glad to run it either way.
- Graduates and existing clients only
- $65 + GST per night
- Structured routine, exercise, enrichment
- Refresher work optional, never required
Before the stay
The cues and questions worth sending with your dog.
A short note before the stay helps us care for your dog. Tell us the cues you rely on and the words you say for them, the release word your dog knows, the food and feeding schedule you follow at home, the equipment your dog walks on, and anything that has changed since your program ended: a new home, a new baby, a cue that has gone soft. If you would like refresher work, we will ask which cues you want time spent on.
Questions are welcome too. Ask which cues we will use with your dog, how refresher work fits around rest and exercise, and how to reach us while you are away. What we will not do is promise that a stay with us sends home a particular dog. We provide care, routine and, if you want it, refresher work. The habits you built in your program are still yours to keep practising once your dog is home.

Asked and answered
The questions people ask us.
Does Northline K9 offer boarding?
Yes, for graduates and existing clients only, at $65 + GST per night. We do not run a public boarding service; we board dogs we already know, on the same structured routine our program dogs follow.
What does graduate boarding in Calgary cost?
Graduate boarding is $65 + GST per night, so ten nights come to $650 + GST. Refresher work during the stay is optional, and we will talk through what you have in mind when you book.
Is there dog boarding for trained dogs in Calgary that keeps the training up?
We offer graduate boarding to Northline K9 graduates and existing clients, with daily exercise, enrichment and individual care inside a structured routine, and refresher work as an option. We do not promise that any stay holds a dog's training at a set level; the practice at home is still what carries it. If refresher work is what you want, tell us when you book.
Can a board and train graduate board here without any refresher work?
Yes. Refresher work is entirely optional, and a plain stay still includes daily exercise, enrichment, individual care and a structured routine. We are glad to board a graduate either way.
