Alberta Parks posts coyote warnings for Fish Creek day-use areas, Shannon Terrace and Bebo Grove among them, with advice to keep pets leashed and give dens a wide berth. A big dog that lunges at a coyote on a short leash puts you on the ground. So the second skill is neutrality: seeing wildlife and staying with you anyway. The third is a solid down-stay while the park's Central Corridor Pathway refurbishment sends you around a detour.
