Dog training in Cochrane
Cochrane dogs live a little larger than most. The Bow River runs along town, the pathways follow it, Cochrane Ranche anchors the weekend walk, and out on the acreages a dog can be three fields away before you finish your coffee. We work out of Calgary, about 30 to 40 minutes down the road, and we train for exactly that kind of freedom.

The drive matters twice, then never again.
We will be straight with you: our training happens in Calgary, not in Cochrane. That sounds like a drawback until you look at how a board and train actually runs. You make the 30 to 40 minute drive at the start of the program and again at the end. Everything else, the daily sessions, the structured routine, the socialization and enrichment, happens on our side of the highway.
While your dog is with us you get regular updates, and when you come back you get a proper handover lesson, not a quick chat in a parking lot. Follow-up sessions are included, and graduates can board with us at $65 a night when you head into the mountains without them. Lifetime phone and email support comes standard with Complete On-Leash Foundations, so distance never blocks a question.

Acreage life is the reason Cochrane owners call us. Bigger dogs, bigger properties, and a gate that is more suggestion than boundary. Out there a dog answers to you or answers to the wildlife, and hoping is not a system. Functional Off-Leash is a three-week program built for exactly this: reliable recall around real distractions, off-leash manners, and an Educator remote collar introduced properly and taught to you.
Down in town, the Bow River pathways and Cochrane Ranche set a different test: passing dogs, narrow stretches, water your dog wants and you would rather negotiate about. That is loose-leash territory. Complete On-Leash Foundations covers walking, heel, sit, down, stay, and place around everyday distractions in two weeks. If your dog needs both worlds, Advanced Off-Leash adds distance commands and public manners over four weeks.

Do you have a dog trainer based in Cochrane?
Our training runs out of Calgary, roughly 30 to 40 minutes from Cochrane. Because the core service is board and train, that distance only matters on drop-off day and pick-up day. Cochrane and its acreages sit firmly inside our service area.
What does dog obedience training for a Cochrane dog look like?
