Off-leash time is a drive. River Park has a large off-leash area on the ridge above the Elbow River. Bowmont Park, on the north bank of the Bow, is a natural environment park with designated off-leash sections and everything else on-leash, including the asphalt pathways, with beavers and geese in residence. In both, the dog must respond to your voice, sound or visual command, which is the City's own definition of control. A recall that fails around a goose is not a recall.

Functional Off-Leash is a three-week board and train at $3,030 plus GST that builds recall around real distractions and off-leash manners, with a modern Educator remote collar included and introduced properly, then taught to you in the handover lesson. It is the program Aspen Woods dogs most often need because the stakes on the trail are wildlife, not a dropped tennis ball. Owners who want off-leash heel and distance commands step up to Advanced Off-Leash, four weeks at $3,940 with two follow-ups.
Not every big dog needs the big program. If the problem is pulling on the ravine path, Complete On-Leash Foundations at $1,865 will fix it and we will say so. Private Training at $150 per hour runs on your own pathways with a plan on paper for the week, and Day Training at $650 per week suits owners who commute.
