Reactive and aggressive dogs have rehearsed their response over and over, and every rehearsal makes it easier next time. The first job is stopping the rehearsals entirely, which takes a structured routine the dog cannot game and a handler watching for the early signs. Then comes threshold work, daily: finding the distance at which the dog can still think, and shrinking it one calm repetition at a time. That cannot be rushed, because pushing past threshold just adds another rehearsal.
Weeks four to six are where a shorter program would already be over, and they are where the change becomes portable. New places, new people, new dogs at a careful distance, each outing a chance to prove the calm response holds beyond the training yard. How the process works, and where it ends.
Nothing gets booked before a full assessment. We need to see the dog, hear the history, and watch how it handles a stranger, a doorway and a leash before we can say whether five weeks or six, and which end of the price range. Some dogs turn out to need something smaller, and we say so. While the dog is with us you get updates, and at the end a handover lesson where the dog performs for you, not for us.
What comes home is a dog with a new default. You leave with the tools the dog was trained on, a clear management plan for the situations that still matter, and two follow-ups to fix what drifts. What does not come home is a different dog. Rehab teaches a reactive or aggressive dog to make a better choice and teaches you to read it earlier; it does not erase the history. Anyone promising erasure is selling something.

A narrower trigger or a shorter history can be worked through in five weeks, which is why the program is scoped at five to six after the assessment rather than sold as a fixed block. The week count matters less than stopping the rehearsals and getting the owner skilled before the dog comes home.
