Northline K9 is owned, run, and trained entirely by Kaitlin: 13 years working with dogs, six of them professionally, with a 5.0 Google rating and a specialty in the anxious and reactive dogs that need a softer read.

Dogs with fear histories sometimes carry them toward a specific kind of person, and men are a common trigger. For those dogs, starting with a woman lowers the opening temperature of every session. And for owners, especially women handing their dog to a stranger for weeks of board & train, working directly with the female owner rather than a rotating staff can be the difference that makes the leap feel safe.
At Northline there is no staff roster to wonder about. The person you meet at the consultation is the person your dog lives with, trains with, and comes home from, and the person answering your check-in messages at nine at night.

Kaitlin's career started in daycare rooms where reading canine body language fast was the whole skill. That reading became her method: listen first, then train. It is why the barkers, the hiders, and the lungers are her favourite clients, and why owners of sensitive dogs seek her out specifically.

Is Northline K9 female-owned?
Yes, fully. Kaitlin owns Northline K9 and personally delivers every program. There are no subcontracted trainers, so the person you vet at the consultation is the person training your dog.
My dog is afraid of men. Can you work with that?
Yes, and it is common. Fear of men is handled like any trigger: at your dog's pace, below threshold, with positive associations built gradually. Starting with a female trainer simply gives that work a calmer starting point.
Do you charge the same as other Calgary trainers?
Our prices are public and mid-market for Calgary: $150 private sessions, $650 per week of day training, and board & train from $1,865 to $5,760, all + GST, with equipment and follow-ups included.
Can I meet her before booking a program?
That is exactly what the consultation is: a relaxed conversation with Kaitlin about your dog before any commitment.
